Honoring the Legacy of Dr. Beth Eisenfeld Through Student Opportunity
The NAU Foundation has established the Dr. Beth Eisenfeld Memorial Scholarship to honor an educator, mentor, and colleague whose commitment to academic excellence and student success left a lasting impact on National American University’s Henley-Putnam School of Strategic Security.
Dr. Eisenfeld believed in challenging students to think critically, uphold the highest ethical standards, and persevere through the demands of higher education. Her dedication extended beyond the classroom, where she served as both an educator and a mentor to students pursuing their academic and professional goals.
“Dr. Eisenfeld was more than a professor to me. She was a mentor who challenged me to think harder, hold myself to a higher standard, and finish what I started in my doctoral program.”
Patrick A. Thomas, DSS
Former Student
Her colleagues remember that same commitment.
“She set the bar high, but her tough love was rooted in a devotion that ran even deeper.”
Dr. Susie Kuilan
Associate Dean, Henley-Putnam School of Strategic Security
Continuing Her Legacy
The Dr. Beth Eisenfeld Memorial Scholarship carries forward the values she championed: academic resilience, critical analysis, ethical responsibility, and persistence.
The scholarship supports eligible undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students in strategic security and related fields including criminal justice.
Through this scholarship, the NAU Foundation hopes to continue Dr. Eisenfeld’s commitment to helping students overcome challenges and complete their educational journeys.
We invite former students, colleagues, friends, and others who wish to honor Dr. Eisenfeld’s memory to share in the tributes from those she inspired and consider contributing to the scholarship established in her name.
