National American University Foundation, a dedicated non-profit organization, has been steadfastly supporting students in their academic journeys since 1967. Over the past decade alone, the NAU Foundation has provided over $850,000 in scholarships to deserving NAU students.
Our mission includes recognizing and rewarding academic excellence while offering essential financial support to both new and returning students. To fulfill this mission, we offer a variety of scholarships designed to meet the diverse needs of NAU’s student community.
Some of the scholarships available to NAU students include:
- New Student Empowerment Scholarship: Designed to encourage and support first-time students embarking on their educational journey.
- Approaching Graduation Scholarship: Aimed at providing financial assistance to students nearing the completion of their degrees, helping them cross the finish line.

How Donations Make an Impact
Your donation will assist an NAU student in reaching their educational goals. NAU students are learning the skills needed to help them be successful in the workplace and in life. These skills include the NAU Core Abilities of communication, collaboration, critical thinking and problem-solving, personal and social responsibility, and professional competence. When these core abilities are mastered alongside workplace skills, students at NAU have the potential to lead, innovate, and succeed in work and life.
Over the past four years, 157 scholarships have been awarded. These consist of awards for new students and those approaching graduation. Other scholarships have been awarded for emergencies and for those in need.
